Despite all his reconciliation pleas and efforts to get his wife back, Robin Thicke has been served with divorce papers from his ex wife Paula Patton.
The "Jumping The Broom" actress filed for divorce from Robin last Friday in Los Angeles and is asking
for joint custody of their 4-year-old son.
She also cities "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for leaving her marriage to the "Blurred Lines" singer.
The
38-year-old actress and 37-year-old singer announced they were
separating in February after nine years of marriage. Many fans immediately suspected the singer's series of cheating ...and the Miley Cyrus MTV VMA performance led to the split.
According to Huffingtonpost, Patton was the inspiration behind much of Thicke's
music and appeared in some of his videos.
In a failed attempt to reunite with his estranges partner, Thicke titled his 7th
studio album, "Paula," but his work didn't yield great results on the charts and on sales.
"Paula" sold only 24,000 units in the U.S. when it was
released in July. Thicke's previous album, "Blurred Lines," sold
177,000 units when it debuted last year.
