During Chris Brown’s 108 days spent in prison, the singer packed on 35 pounds
Brown opens up in a recent interview about how self-conscious he was after gaining excessive weight, according to Mail Online.
Brown, 25, revealed in an interview with Extra that he was afraid to go outside because he feared people would think he looked fat after his release from prison in June.
Brown, whose weight jumped from 180 to 215, said, “I couldn't fit in my jeans, fit in my clothes. I was scared to go out. I was like, "Man, people will see me and I look fat.”
However, Brown was able to quickly get back to his old self through exercise. He said he played a lot of basketball, did a lot of cardio and danced lot.
Brown also opened up to Extra’s Mario Lopez about how his three months in jail was a “humbling experience.” He cited his stay in jail as something that he will never forget because it allowed him to realize that nobody is invincible.
“…Everybody’s equal, at the same time no amount of celebrity status, no amount of how many fans love you, no amount of anything can deter you away from the real if you make a mistake and nobody’s excusable,” Brown said.
Brown also said he has matured and grown into a man. He now sees a therapist twice a week and has learned how to express himself without anger or aggression.
“For me it was more of an opportunity for me to understand my feelings and understand what I was dealing with in my own life,” he said.
